There was also a creek nearby where gold panning was done and lime
quarry (Apugan). THe lime wuarry was later
on bought by the
BENGUET CONSOLIDATED
INCORPORATION (BCI). The lime kiln
was a joint venture between the Ibaloi Felipe
Pucay and the BCI.

Baguio Military Institute school for rich people.
Every settlers paid
their land for  P2.00 per square meter.

As time passed by, Irisan was developand brought drastic changes to
Irisan.

Irisan now has the biggest population of all barangays in the city. It is
divided into 33 purok, composed of settlers from CAR, Manila and other
lowland province.

Virginia Luna is a true source of knowledge. Not an Ibaloi by blood but
speaks as one who has married into an Ibaloi family.

Irisan is proof of the minorization, marginalization, dislocation, silence
and invisibility of the Ibalois in the face of rapid urbanization and
massive in-migration of numerous other people and cultures into
Baguio.

Delicious Nut Cracker of Cordillera

The people in Cordillera offers different kind of products that can be use to be the trademark. Peanut is one of the major products of Cordillera like peanut brittle, peanut butter, salted peanut, fried peanut and sweetened peanut.

Every tourist that visit Cordillera like munching on peanut brittle. Peanut brittle is something that tourist usually buy every time they visit Cordillera. It is not spreadable because it is hard, sweet, pea-nutty and crunchy. But this time, tourist experienced the softer side of this sweet treat.

If you like munching on peanut brittle, how about using that as spread? With all the new innovations, here is one you might like to try. Peanut butter is not your regular peanut butter. It is still made of ground peanuts with peanut bits but it does not taste like peanut butter at all. Is also has sea salt and vanilla. It has that caramelized sugar sweetness like peanut brittle.

For today's present time the Cordillerans offer some of flavored peanuts. They offer salted peanut where in some of the producers made another flavor out of it. The producers produce the adobo peanut. They also offer sweetened peanut. Their are honey toasted peanuts, candied peanuts and chocolate peanuts. Cordillerans also offer the fried peanut that is so crunchy when it is eaten. They add many garlic to be more delicious and chili to be hot.

Nothing less, from the pioneer in the Philippines peanut butter, peanut brittle, and peanut products are confectionery.

UNMASK

Bitch a word that I can't speak when I was just a kid because of it's content. But now, I found the good things behind it. I also realize that it reveals who really I am as a daughter, sister, friend, classmate, cousin and even an enemy of the people around me. It describes me as an individual because it is a representation of my characteristics and attitudes.
I am Shaina Bodomo but I prefer to be called Ai Shai don't ask if why. I am Senior High School Student for now.  So let me unmask some of my true identity or let say my experiences in life.

High School life for me was a very memorable stage of every individual because it is where we started creating close relationships with other people, having our best of friends, crush, and learning to experience the true essence of love and be loved back. It is the stage I started dreaming for my future and will be the best for me. This dream of mine is my goal as years passed by. I think high school life will be the happiest moment that I will ever experience. It is also the most dramatic stage of which I learned to be brave and fight for my right to love and be loved.

"Don't Let Society Manipulate You", A quote of mine that I will never forget. I'm in the real world full of mystery. Letting someone to manipulate me is disgusting on my part. I'm the creator of my own future and destiny. I will take the right path way using my own perseverance and hard work. In this world, if you don't do anything, your life will be nothing.

As days passed by, I learned to recognize the importance of family, friendship, obedience and being humble. Further, I realized that my rebellious feeling was not good for both to myself and people around me.

Based on my experiences, analysis and realizations, I can now proudly announce that I am a BITCH! I am really a BITCH! I am Brave, Intelligent, Trustworthy, Cheerful and Humble. I will never, never, never give up for my future.
